Stevens tip-up single shot pocket target pistol, per our consignor having belonged to Great Northern Railroad Detective, W. Ed Black, .22 cal., 6” round barrel, blue and nickel finish, wood grips, #6438. This gun is in overall good condition showing approx. 85% muted original blue on barrel and approx. 95% original frosted nickel on the frame; good action and markings, dark bore that might clean; good grips with scattered nicks and mars from carry and storage. Black’s descendants indicated he worked the railroads in the late 1800s and chased members of the famous “Wild Bunch”. Est.: $1,200-$1,500.
