Stevens “Pet”.22 caliber large frame tip up pocket rifle with rare 24” octagon barrel in .22 caliber retaining matching shoulder stock, serial number 4426. The barrel shows 50% to 70% original blue turning to brown with some scattered light tomoderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The markings are good and clear and the original to the period sights are retained in the proper dovetail. The frame shows 20% to 40% approximate original nickel plate and areas where the nickelhas lifted are going to a dark patina. The grips are good to very good with most of their varnish, some minor scratches and normal aging. The stock shows some polishing and most of its nickel. The action is good, the bore is fair with someroughness. There is a number 152 stamped on the bottom of the barrel in front of the frame. Est.: $1250-$2500
