Manufactured from 1923 to 1942. Blade front and adjustable rear sights on a barrel marked with the two line "J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY" address without the patent date on the upper left flat. Barrel is numbered to the gun. Blued barrel and nickel plated iron frame. Fitted with two piece smooth ivory grips. Pictured in book "SAVAGE AND STEVENS ARMS AND HISTORY" by Bill West (figure 11-30).

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning to a brown and some minor muzzle wear. The frame retains 99% original nickel plating with a few minor scratches. The nickel plating has a slight frost appearance. The grips are very fine with the exception of a long hairline age crack on the left panel and some very minor scratches. The ivory has an attractive aged appearance with a nice grain pattern.
