Manufactured circa 1896 - 1933. Blade front and adjustable buck horn rear sights, with a number 2 barrel marked "22 L.R." on the left rear flat , with two line address on the top flat. The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang and bottom of the barrel ahead of the forearm, and "2" under the forearm. The upper tang is drilled and tap for sights, blue barrel, hammer and breechblock, with casehardened receiver, lever and buttplate. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 95% slightly faded original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear. The receiver retains 75% original case colors with a smooth brown and gray patina on the balance. The lever and buttplate have a smooth dark mottled patina. The wood is very fine with almost all of the original varnish remaining and showing some scattered minor scratches and dings. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
