Stevens Ideal No. 49 single shot rifle, 25-20 caliber, 34” half round - half octagon special ordered extra long barrel, blue and case hardened finished, standard wood stocks, Swiss butt, venier tang sight, hooded target style front sight and spirit level in rear sight dove tail. The barrel shows 90-95% original blue with some beginning age and tone and the frame shows 90% plus case hardening that is still very colorful. Thevarnished wood stocks showing original light color with some minor scratches and are at least very good plus. The butt plate shows strong traces of case hardening drifted to a patina. The action and barrel are numbered7050. The bore is very good plus and may clean to excellent and is still bright. An exceptional single shot rifle with desirable barrel length and features.
