Manufactured circa 1910 to 1916. Globe front sight and rear sight removed (filler block added) on a barrel with the two line Stevens "A. & T." address/patent date marking on the top flat and "22-LONG RIFLE" on the upper left flat. Barrel also drilled and tapped (2 holes) for a sight mount ahead of the rear sight dovetail slot. Equipped with a short range tang peep sight and a Stevens No. 475 telescopic sight adjustable for windage and elevation. The rear scope block is positioned over the barrel marking. Altered "S" curved lever with later added brass finger spur. Serial number on the lower tang with the number "3967" on the underside of the barrel. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering on the forearm and grip area with casehardened Swiss style buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth plum patina. There is a very small patch of minor pitting near the muzzle (left side). The receiver, breechblock, lever and buttplate retain 90% original case colors with a small patch of minor pitting on the chamber (right side). The wood is excellent with some minor dings and scratches with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. The telescopic sight retains nearly 95% original blue finish and has very cloudy optics.
