The lot features an original rare Stevens Model No. 43 Diamond Second Issue single shot competition pistol. The handgun is chambered in a .22 Rimfire caliber and shows a steel frame with longer grip having smooth walnut factory original inserts. The piece shows a round 6-inch barrel with dovetail mounted bead front sights and standard adjustable notched rear sights. The firing pin is in solid frame and not bushing. This is an all serial number matching firearm. The pistol shows a nickel-plated steel frame retaining much of the original finish with the barrel having a gray patina with some of the original blue showing. Mechanically functions. Handling wear and signs of use. Approximately 73,000 of these Stevens Diamond No. 43 pistols were produced from circa 1896-1916. Serial number 42785.
