<Our item number 110693><B>Stereoscopic Viewer With 4 Different Sets Of Cards.</B> Turn-of-the-century stereoscopic viewer, in self-folding case. Accompanied by a complete six-volume set of well over 600 different WWI viewer cards, a 1906 set entitled &#34;Jerusalem&#34; with varirous black and white views of the old city, and a third full-color set of 95 different images of the Russo-Japanese War entitled &#34;Siege of Port Arthur&#34; dated 1905. The fourth set of 70 cards consists of 41 black and white cards and 21 colored stereoscopic chart cards from the WWI period, by a Dr. Wells. The cover of the box states that eye charts are to be used for testing aviators in the service of the U.S. Government. The boxes containing the six-volume set are in rough condition; the other boxes are fair to fine. All cards are very fine. The viewer has carved filigree and is in fine condition except for a small crack in the wooden slide holder, not affecting viewing the cards; there is also a separation crack in the wooden ring of one of the optic vieweers, and the fastening clasp is incomplete.
