<B>Stephen King: <I>The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three</B></I></B></I> <B>Signed Deluxe Edition.</B></I> (West Kingston, Rhode Island: Donald M. Grant, 1987), first edition, 399 pages plus Afterword, white cloth with crimson lettering on spine and front board, 8vo (6.25" x 9.25"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar). Illustrated by Phil Hale. King approached Donald Grant in the early 1980s about publishing <I>The Dark Tower</B></I> in book form. King did not believe that the epic tale would resonate with his populist audience, so he and Grant agreed to publish all past, present, and future <I>Dark Tower</B></I> stories in limited press runs. This is the second volume of Grant's efforts, beautifully illustrated, solidly bound, and housed in a gray cloth slipcase. It is copy #685 of the 850 deluxe copies, and is signed, "<I>Stephen King</B></I>" and "<I>Phil Hale</B></I>" on the limitation page, which is the verso of the half-title page. This copy is in virtually new condition, with no noticeable flaws present.
