<B>Stephen King: Signed First Edition of <I>The Stand</B></I></B></I> (New York: Doubleday, 1978), first edition (code "T39" present in the gutter of page 823), 823 pages, black half cloth and tan boards with gilt titles, 8vo (5.75" x 8.5"), dust jacket. Deckled fore-edge. Inscribed and signed "<I>To Deborah - Best, Stephen King 9/20/80</B></I>" on the flyleaf between the half title and title pages. <I>The Stand</B></I> was King's fourth novel and fifth book to earn publication. It is a post-apocalyptic novel of epic sweep, and one of King's fan favorites. The book presented here is in about fine, with mild soiling to the textblock edges and some edge wear present.
