Canadian photographer (1864–1929) who specialized in both portraits and landscapes. Original gelatin silver print photo by Thomas, 9 x 7, affixed to a slightly larger sheet, identified at the bottom as “Yale, B. C.,” and in the lower right “B. J. Thompson, Photo, New Westminster, B. C.” Image depicts a dramatic panoramic view of the infamous British Columbia village of Yale on the Fraser River. In fine condition, with a few scattered light creases and surface marks.
