<B>Stephen A. Douglas: Scarce 1864-Dated Middleton Chromolithograph Portrait.</B></I> This innovative technique allowed the mass production of what appeared as realistic oil-on-canvas portraits. Lincoln was, by far, the most popular subject; we can recall seeing only one other portraying Douglas, the famed "Little Giant" who lost to Abe in 1860, and passed away the following year.
