Oil on panel with dimensions Approx. 4.75" x 5.25" (12.5cm x 13.5 cm). The original frame is included.
Emma enjoyed her training in her mother’s studio, like her sister Alice Ronner and brother Alfred Ronner. The studio was located on the Vleurgatse Steenweg in Elsene. Just like Alice, Emma Ronner devoted herself to painting still lifes. Apparently, she was less productive and manifested herself much less to the outside world than Alice did.
In the Salon 1888 in Doornik she exhibited ‘Uien en citroenen’.
In ca. 1907, she lived in the Gachardstraat 43 in Brussels. In 1921, she moved in with her sister Alice in the Rue de Culot in Rixensart. In 1929, they moved to the Rue de l’Eglise 2 in Rixensart.
In February 1931, her sister and she exhibited in the ‘Galeries du Studio’ in the Rue des Petits Carmes 2 in Brussels. She only exhibited 4 works there, her sister considerably more. The titles of the works she exhibited were: "Dood van een zwaan", "Spaanse pepers", "Konijn en appels", "Uien en paddestoelen".
In 1932, she participated in a group shop of the Antwerp artist association ‘Als ik Kan’
