This is a official document from El Paso County, The State of Texas in The State of Texas vs. Patrick Harrigan, and mentions subpoenas for the following individuals: Dyer, J.B Clipmann, Little Davee, and Charles Russell. In 1893, Charles Russell was summoned to court in El Paso, Texas, for a case involving the distribution of religious literature. At that time, he was traveling across the United States to promote the teachings of the Bible Student movement, which later became known as Jehovah's Witnesses. The document shows an original museum tag that reads as follows: Summons for Charles Russell at the ACME Saloon - El Paso, TX 1892. The condition of this of this Summons from The State of Texas is well preserved with some browning to the page consistent with its age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
