<B><I>State of Connecticut Senate 1897-98,</B></I></B></I> brown-leather-bound album of 29 mounted 4” x 5” black-and-white photographs, 4to (8.5” x 10.5”), gold lettering on front cover, covers connected by gold-metal clasp. This volume, bound for Connecticut Senator John N. Lewis, contains original photographs of Lt. Governor James D. Dewell and 28 senators taken in Connecticut and New York. Many of the photographs contain handwritten identifications; some are inscribed to Lewis. The photographs are in generally fine condition; some have the bottom of the mount trimmed off.
