Born in Belgium, Edward Buyck came to live in Slingerland, NY. He studied at the Royal Academies ir Bruges and Antwerp and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. His work hangs in the White House Collection and the Canajoharie Art Gallery. This work is an etching on wove paper from the early 1900's. It depicts a couple standing on the corner of State and Pearl St. in Albany, New York. It is titled in the lower left hand margin of the art and signed by the artist in the lower right, both in graphite.
