Anderson MA-18. Massachusetts. April 26, 1779. Partly-printed bond &#34Advance Pay to Officers, first Moiety&#34. The state promises &#34to pay the Possessor of this note the sum of seventy-five pounds by the first day of January 1780, with interest at Six pre Cent per annum.&#34 Nice vignette of a pine tree encircled by a rattlesnake engraved by Nathaniel Hurd. This bond was issued to payments to officers serving during the American Revolution and this indicates an Ensign Edwd. Annables as an owner of the bond, thus offering an interesting and scarce association to the tiny Continental navy. Folds and some slight paper loss at one intersection. Otherwise, Very Fine.
