Starr percussion carbine, .54 cal., 21” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, brass butt plate and barrel band, wood stocks, #2573. This gun is in good to very good condition showing approx. 85% original blue on the barrel andapprox. 50% muted case colors on the receiver; the brass butt plate and barrel ring show a great taffy colored patina; the bore is fair + with several small areas of pitting; the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. The wood is inoverall good condition showing scattered nicks, mars, wear and scratches from carry and storage with several old wood putty repairs to the left side of the fore stock near the breech; two clear inspector’s cartouches on the left side of thebutt stock at the wrist.
