Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007) - Mimic Device Used by the Stragoth.
Original screen used mimic alien device used by the Stragoth aliens in the military science fiction adventure television series Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007) where a secret military team, SG-1, is formed to explore other planets through the recently discovered Stargates. Starring Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge.
The device allows a complete physical duplication of any individual that has been processed. By attaching an activated mimetic device on the body of another person, the device created a holographic "hull" around the wearer, which allowed him/her to appear as the person, whose appearance was stored in the device. It also allowed the wearer to speak in the same voice as the mimicked person. Some of the key episodes it was used in include "Foothold" where aliens overtake the S.G.C. and use mimic devices to masquerade as Stargate personnel and "Smoke and Mirrors" where twelve mimic devices are stolen from Area 51 and used to further the plans of the N.I.D.
