Original screen used data crystal, information storage technology utilized by the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra. They are capable of storing vast amounts of information from a computer system. Designed in all shapes and sizes, they are durable and sturdy, and can be placed in storage for hundreds of years without degradation of the data. Used in the military science fiction adventure television series Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007) where a secret military team, SG-1, is formed to explore other planets through the recently discovered Stargates. Starring Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge.
