“Winners will be notified after the auction ends and once all bids have been processed to determine the winner for each lot”
Exceedingly rare and coveted ''Star Wars'' 1977 Golden Globe nomination for Alec Guinness in the role of ''Obi-Wan Kenobi.'' The nomination from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association reads in part: ''…Be it known that Alec Guinness was nominated for a Golden Globe Award of Merit for Outstanding Achievement / Best Actor in a Supporting Role / Star Wars…for consideration…during the year ending 1977''. This was the first film in the phenomenonal ''Star Wars'' series. Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the few characters to appear in all six films, but Guinness received only this one Golden Globe nomination for any of the films. With the blindstamped seal of the Foreign Press Association at lower right corner. Certificate measures 11.5'' x 9'', mounted at its corners to a mat measuring 14'' x 12''. Fine condition.
