(Paramount Pictures, 1994) This prop busy box was custom-made by the production for use by Brent Spiner as "Data". The busy box is part of the Enterprise bridge that Data accesses to reset the Klingon cloaking device and allow photon torpedoes from the Enterprise to blow up the Klingon ship attacking the Enterprise. Wear from use and storage is present and some of the plexi on the back was removed and used on other sets during filming. This prop is constructed of a plywood frame with plastic and metal components added for detail and was lit by fluorescent bulbs during filming, which were cut when it was removed from the set. The prop has been relit with an LED strand that plugs in to a standard 110V outlet. The box was also lightly spray painted black for the last scene in the film where the bridge has crashed and burned, so the black is to represent scorching from the fires. The prop measures 37.5" x 23.5" x 13".
