Star Trek First Contact Borg Neural Processor Prop
Star Trek First Contact Borg Neural Processor Prop - An unique screen used prop for Star Trek fans, or collectors of iconic movie props. This is a Borg Neural Processor made for and screen used in "Star Trek: First Contact" (1996). The Borg Neural Processor is a device implanted into all Borg Drones. It contains information received from the Collective which among other things gives the Drones their "Marching Orders". This Neural Processor appears onscreen during the scene where Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Lily Sloane (Alfre Woodard) are in the Enterprise-E 1930's style "speakeasy" observation lounge. Picard uses an old fashion Tommy Machine Gun to bring down a Borg Drone, then lays him on a table and pulls out the Processor and connects it to his tricorder. Several of these processors were created by legendary "First Contact" Art Department Coordinator and Prop Maker Penny Smartt-Juday. Some were equipped with red LEDS that lit up as Picard downloaded the information, and others that were seen before the information is transferred are "static" processors (without working LEDS inside). This is one of the hero static processors, This special prop is made of clear acrylic with metal components and black plastic detail. It comes with a handwritten Letter of Provenience from Penny Smartt-Juday herself, on Paramount Pictures Official Inter-Office stationary, which she has signed with both her name and her infamous "Moneypenny" nickname. (Approx. 5x 1').
