<B>Stanley Mouse - "Jerry Angel Unplugged" Study Painting Original Art (1995).</B></I> Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia's passing, in August, 1995, left a cultural void that many of the old-time San Francisco crew felt deeply. Included in that group was Stanley Mouse, the famous poster artist of the 1960s who has, in more recent years, turned his attention to the world of fine art. In the days just after Jerry's untimely death, Mouse created a painting of Jerry as an angel, floating over the globe with a red (unplugged) electric guitar in his hands. This is the original study for that painting (which has been recently displayed at a Hard Rock Cafe), measuring approximately 24" x 30", with basically the same image as the finished piece. It's beautifully painted in oils on board, signed with Stanley's "running mouse", and framed to an overall size of 27.5 x 33.5".
