Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980) Original Production On Set Used ‘Rainbow’ Script
The Shining (1980) Original Production On Set Used ‘Rainbow’ Script Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" (1980) holds its place in Cinema history as one of the greatest horror films ever produced. But what do you expect from a book by Stephen King, and especially from master director Stanley Kubrick? Virtually no props or costumes or scripts have survived from the film (as requested by Kubrick himself), and the few that do, are in museums or held privately by the Kubrick Estate or a handful of extremely lucky collectors. Therefore an actual on-set production script is something special. This is an used-in-production on-set shooting script from “The Shining”. It is bond in the original cover with the iconic unusual metal blossom-washer round "Premier Clip Binder" Fasteners. This much dog-eared script includes all the original revisions with studio-distributed “revised colored pages”, therefore making this a rare “rainbow” production script. The script was the personal copy of Prop Maker Gerry Bourke, who worked on the film (as well as Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket") from the long pre-production and through the entire production at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England. It includes some production notes. This original script was presented to an award-winning English graphic artist and title designer several years after production. He has had it in his personal collection ever since. It includes a Letter of Provenience.
