Assignment of Legal Title for “1/972,500 of the amount of corporate stocks held by the Trustees of the Standard Oil Trust in each of the several corporations whose stocks were held by said Trust on the first day of July 1892...” Green/Black. Engraved vignette of the capitol building at upper left. Issued to and signed on verso by J. B. Clews. Signed as Secretary by John D. Archbold and as Attorney in Fact by Wesley H. Tilford. These certificates were utlilized to delay the breakup of the Trust for seven years. An important issue from the Standard Oil Trust. In Extremely fine condition. Fine condition. Pen, stamp and embossed cancellations, all paper intact.
