ALS signed “Stan,” one page, 7 x 8, January 21, 1955. Letter to Betty. In part: “…thought you would get a kick out of enclosed news clipping - can you imagine? We are negotiating with Hal Roach Jr to make four one-hour films for TV with added footage to be released abroad in the theatres. We have a meeting tomorrow at the studio & it looks like we may close the deal.” Written on the reverse is Betty’s explanation. In part: “The clipping he enclosed was about our friend Peggy Keenan who is going to the North Pole with color cameras on a dog sled…I also have job if I want it in Casino but want to see what Stan does - I may be with him - who knows.” Central horizontal and vertical fold, and moderate show-through from Betty’s text on reverse, otherwise fine condition.
