Original hand-inked eight-panel Mutt and Jeff Sunday comic strip on a 22 x 14 sheet of artist’s cardstock, dated March 12, 1961. Strip depicts Jeff’s attempt to ice fish and is signed in the last panel in black ink, “Al Smith”; an original signed and inscribed ballpoint sketch of Goldberg’s traced right hand, with Goldberg adding a self-portrait, at the bottom of a fan letter to Goldberg on a 9 x 12 off-white sheet; and a printed sketch of the Archie characters on a beige 8.5 x 11 sheet, signed and inscribed in black felt tip by Goldberg. In overall very good to fine condition, with expected notations and borders affixed to edges and scattered light toning and foxing to strip.
