This post auction sale catalog is a "must-have" reference for serious collectors of territorial gold and shipwreck treasure. It documents the 2008 sale of the Samuel J. New York, providing a detailed census of mid-19th-century gold and silver coins lost at sea in 1846. For a numismatist, this book serves as a vital provenance tool and a high-quality visual guide to some of the most significant rarities in American coinage. Lot weight: 3 lbs 8oz.
