<B>St. Louis, MO- Merchants Bank at Os(c)eola Branch</B></I> $10 Oct. 1, 1859 UNL<BR> This is believed to be a genuine note on this bank, but the winning bidder will make the ultimate call on that. Every note that is listed in Haxby for the Merchants is listed as SENC, "Surviving Example Not Confirmed." Also, the only pictured note for the bank in Haxby is a spurious $5 that uses the same design as this $10.
