Daily official program for the World's Fair or Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis on October 28, 1904, which played host to that year's Olympic Games, 16 pages, 6 x 9, providing schedules and descriptions of the day's diverse events, which includes: “Trans-Mississippi Commercial Congress Exercises,” “A. A. U. Gymnastic Championships,” “The Panama Canal Lecture,” “Football, Missouri vs. Purdue,” “Electric Illumination of the Exposition Grounds,” and more. In very good condition, with one staple detached from spine, tape repairs to inside of cover, and various wear and dampstaining to covers and page edges.

At the 1904 Summer Olympics of St. Louis, Missouri, eleven gymnastics events were contested for the first time and were spread out over several months. The International Turners' Championship was held July 1–2 and comprised the all-around, triathlon, and team events, and the Olympic Gymnastics Championships was held October 29 and comprised the seven individual apparatus events and the combined event. As expected the Americans dominated the events, in large part because they supplied 110 of the 119 participating athletes.
