Springfield model 1903, .30-06 caliber, U.S. military-issue rifle, serial #268540. Barrel is Springfield Armory marked and dated 1-07. The stock shows old light refinish, and outlines of “P” in cartouche. The stock shows no sanding, and this finish could be stripped and would improve the rifle. The stock is generally good, other than the right side near the rear of the receiver where it has been inletted for what would be presumedto be a sight. The action is good, the bore is good. An early 1903 that could be improved. Est: $350 - $700
