Springfield model 1884 rifle, .45-70 caliber, in near fine condition with bayonet and sling. Serial #446091. The rifle shows 85-95% original blue evenly thinning and toning. The breech has drifted to about 50-60% casehardening turning silver. Stocks are very good plus with sharp 1889 cartouche, some minor marks, normal aging. A Rock Island marked original sling is included with bayonet and scabbard with leather hangar,also very good plus to near fine. The action is crisp, the bore is excellent. The rifle has seen little use. Est: $900 - $1,800
