Springfield model 1884 Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 caliber, showing Buffington rear sight, serial #468693. Cartouched 1889. The rifle remains in fine to near excellent original condition showing 95-98% original blue and case hardened finishes, just darkening slightly, with a coating of dried grease and oil that may clean. The stock is also fine to excellent with a few minor scratches and marks and no losses along the cleaning rod channel. The rifle is equipped with an arsenal provided sight cover and cleaning rod. The action is crisp, the bore excellent. Would improve with removal of dried oil. With bayonet, scabbard, and leather frog, also in fine condition. Est: $1,250 - $2,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
