Springfield model 1884 Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 caliber, serial #364289. The rifle remains in very good plus to near fine original condition showing 85-95% original blue on barrel that is slightly turning to plum, just a couple of slight scratches and light rust just starting. The lock, breech, and triggerguard show 80-90% original finish going slightly dark. The breech block shows 90-95% case hardening also darkening. The stock is very good plus to near fine with sharp 1886 cartouche and sharp “P” proof behind trigger guard. The rifle shows a buffington rear sight, the interior is excellent, the bore bright and also near excellent. Original cleaning rod included. The stock shows a few storage bumps and dings. The front barrel band shows some light rust and there is some dried oil that may clean and brighten this crisp Trapdoor. Nothing severe. From the Bernard Braverman Collection. Est: $700 - $1,400

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
