Springfield Armory Re-Work of Colt 1860 Army Percussion Revolver, #28450, .44 ball, 8'' barrel, blue and case-hardened finish, one-piece walnut grips, four-screw frame, New York address to barrel, serial number to frame matches cylinder (28450), barrel assembly (28775), triggerguard (82621), with large and correct ''US'' marking forward of triggerguard bow behind serial number. Iron backstrap marked #114835, with unmarked wedge. Condition is very good to near fine as re-built by the Springfield Armory. Barrel assembly shows approx. 60-75% thinning and toning blue. Frame has toned to silver, but case-hardened hues remain internally. Inspector's initials ''C'' to both sides of barrel lug, with additional ''C'' to the rebated area of cylinder, as well as ''B'' to high edge of cylinder. Grips show scuffs, scratches and losses, including a long thin loss near the right side of backstrap. Touch holes are clear, safety pins are present but flat. Action is tight, pawl sp!
