Made at Springfield Armory in 1921. 24" blued military barrel with standard sights and marked with "SA/Flaming Bomb/12-20/A" stamping. "A" indicates second class barrel. Dark Parkerized finish action with Springfield marked receiver made in 1921 with swept handle bolt and standard trigger. Walnut two bolt "S" type finger groove stock with "W.J.S." and "P" in circle inspector marks. "W.J.S" stands for William J. Sheriffs, who was an inspector at this time. Stock is fitted with blued milled trigger guard and correct hardware. Also correct walnut humped top wood. CALIBER: 30-06. S/N: 1210611. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
80% original military finish with some added finish. Stock has dark appearance with traces of original finish and very visible cartouche. Good bore with TE of 2 and ME of 2. Good mechanics with no visible import marks.
