#123106 Made in 1880, Cal. 45-55 (carbine load, 45-70 Rifle load) with correct rear (C) and front sight. Low arch breech block, Marked U.S. Model 1873. Short wrist on stock as is correct W/carbine sling bar and ring. U.S. Marked butt plate W/door opening for cleaning rod and headless shell extractor (3 holes in stock). Barrel length 22", marked with V.P. Eaglehead, P. lock plate marked U.S. Springfield and Eagle with shield. Can barely make out (using a magnifier) the "Circle P" on Stock about 1" from lower tang. Very, very faint partial outline of a cartouche can be seen (W/magnifier) in correct position behind rear sling bar attachment. Probably wore off by carbine sling swivel hook. Action in working order. Does not require FFL Transfer.
