Manufactured at the Springfield Armory this is considered a "low-numbered" rifle. Barrel is stamped 11-14 with SA flaming bomb proof. Stock has cartouches Circle P behind the trigger guard and SAAI in a rectangle on the left side. Also on the left side there is a "0" or "O". Behind the trigger guard a number "2" stamped. The Butt plate is checkered with a trap door for storage of a cleaning kit (not included). The stock has a chip at the toe and there are several dings dents and scratches in the stock and handguard. The stock is stamped with "S" at the muzzle end. Rear swivel is stamped with "R", middle stacking swivel is marked with "U", front swivel/bayonet lug is unmarked and missing the retaining screw. Trigger guard has a small dent in it on the front. The front sight has a clip-on sight protector. Other metal appears to be in good condition. There is a period bayonet with canvas and leather-wrapped scabbard. Bayonet is numbered 407482 and stamped "RIA 1918". The blade has been sharpened and has a few nicks in the edge. The Bore is bright with strong rifling and the action is good. Condition is good. Curio & Relic *
