CMP rebuilt post-war era U.S. Military clip-fed semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1955-57. (Serial Number) Features a parkerized finish, 24, shrouded blade front sight, adjustable rear aperture sight marked "DRC", bayonet lug, stacking swivel, smooth trigger, milled trigger guard, manual safety, barrel marked "6535448 03/06 2E CBI". CBI is a Criterion barrel. The original barrel could have been missing or worn out. CMP installed a new Criterion barrel when they sold their "Specials" or "Expert" grade rifles, dated March, 2006. Bolt marked "D28287-12SA, S-04" trigger housing is marked "D29290-16-SA, safety is marked C46015-6SA, op rod is marked "6535382-HRA, receiver is marked "T-A" over F 6528291" and the barrel is marked "6535448 03/06 2E CBI". Smooth walnut handguards and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with trapdoor metal buttplate. "CMP" over eagle cartouche on left wrist. Rifle retains approximately 97% parkerizing showing minor scuffs. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent, strong rifling and the wood stocks are matching, excellent. CMP marked M1907 type brown leather sling attached.
