Springfield – Krag model 1899 carbine in .30-40 caliber, serial number 345017. Refer Flayderman 9A – 419. This carbine shows the knurled cocking knob on back of bolt. The carbine remains in original good to very good condition showing 50% to 70% original blue starting to plumb and tone with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The stocks are good with small dings, mars, scratches, dents and etc. An outline of the cartouche remains with P marking behind trigger guard and small number 46. There are some small chips of wood missing around the butt plate and there is a large number 14 stamped above the butt plate which is a military rack or issue number. Markings are good, the action is good and the bore is good to very good. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
