The XD-S Single Stack from Springfield Armory has forever changed what you
can expect out of your daily carry pistol. The shockingly slim XD-S has a
short, sub-compact style polymer frame with a grip width of 0.9" and
includes two interchangeable backstraps for a perfect fit. It has a dual
spring recoil system with full length guide rod, and the hammer-forged
steel barrel is melonite-coated for greater wear resistance and protection.
The fiber optic front sight and steel dovetail rear sight align quickly and
provide a clear sight picture for accurate shooting.
he XD-S Single Stack also includes the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action
Trigger System, loaded chamber indicator, firing pin block, and grip
safety. The XD-S 45 ACP has a 1:16" twist. It includes both a 5-round
flush-fit magazine and a 6-round with Mid-Mag X-Tension.
