Arsenal rebuilt U.S. military bolt action service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, manufactured circa 1917 and subsequently sporterized. Features a parkerized finish, 24" barrel marked "S A /(flaming bomb)/9-42", banded front sight base with dovetailed blade sight (loose), removed rear sight, adjustable Lyman 48S aperture sight mounted on the right side receiver, two barrel bands with bayonet lug & stacking swivel on the front band, smooth trigger, blued bolt with turned-down handle, three-position flag safety on the rear of the bolt, internal 5 round box magazine with removable floorplate, magazine cut-off on the left side of the receiver, stripper clip guide cuts in the top of the receiver, full-length smooth walnut handguard and straight grip “S” shoulder stock with red Winchester recoil pad & the heel sanded down to give a raised comb appearance. Stock marking include; “6” inside a circle, “5”, “44”, “P” inside a circle and “0”. Rifle retains approximately 90% of its military finish showing scattered wear and what appears to be a driver’s license number scratched in the floorplate. The Lyman receiver sight shows some oxidation and a small amount of light surface rust. Action is smooth, the four land bore is excellent, and the wood stocks are good as altered. Condition is NRA Very Good as sporterized. ***C&R Firearm***
