Blued barrel with case color receiver which is marked on the rSN:97787, Last of a long line of Springfield Trapdoor models to serve the U.S. Government troops. Has the long "Rod Bayonet" unique to this model. Blued barrel with case color receiver which is marked on the right sidewith the U.S. Eagle and "U.S. Springfield". Breech block shows "U.S. Model 1884". Nicely refinished and urethane straight grip stock with 2 barrel bands and sling swivels still attached, 32 1/2" barrel with adjustableladder military rear sight graduated to 1500 yards. Good bore and action. Condition: Good as refinished. A seldom seen variation with an unusual bayonet.
