Russian traditions school of realistic painting -you can see on perfect oil paintings by Potapov Oleg. Artist born in 1962 in Chernyakhovsk Town of Kaliningrad Region. In 1982, he graduated from Ryazan Art College. In 1987, he started to take part in exhibitions. In 1989, he graduated from Moscow Printing Institute. In 1999, he joined Moscow Artists Union. Oleg did not give up to the seduction to surprise the visitors with the challenging originality of his creative position. On the contrary, the emphasised objective and natural perception of reality is the major creative credo, which is confirmed by the author in his work without persistence but with quiet surety. We see very few people in the landscapes of this artist. But they always show the works of good human hands. This is a village of strong Russian houses, chapel in the deep forest, and more often a bath house or boat at the lake. The artist himself looks at the world with the eyes of people living in these landscapes. The most important thing in the works of Oleg is not the ethnographic interest or flash of emotions but his quiet meditation and thinking.
