A bronze tripod ding with cover, archaistic in form and decoration, reflecting ceremonial vessels from the Spring and Autumn period (770–476 BC). This piece features a robust hemispherical body, raised on three sturdy legs, with twin upright loop handles and a domed lid. The surface is richly adorned with archaic taotie and thunder motifs, softly obscured beneath layers of green and bluish patina. The natural weathered surface exhibits fine mineral deposits and a textured verdigris finish, indicating age or controlled oxidation for display purposes. According to the label, it measures 185mm in mouth diameter, 180mm tall, and weighs approximately 888 grams. A compelling addition for collectors of Chinese bronze antiquities or museum-style decorative arts.
