Spring 2016 Animation Auction

Auction Details

The Spring 2016 Animation Auction features original production drawings and cels from Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Hanna Barbera, Chuck Jones, DreamWorks, Bill Melendez Studios, and others. The selection of artwork spans from the early 1930s with drawings of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, from Mickey Plays Papa and The Dognapper respectively, to recent classics such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, and The Princess and the Frog. Also in the offerings are original production cels and hand-painted backgrounds from vintage commercials for Lucky Charms, Rice Krispies, V8, Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise, Dodge, Orkin Pest Control, to name a few.

In addition, there are artwork from The Pink Panther, Curios George, Hong Kong Phooey, Underdog, Static Shock, and much more. The highlight of the collection is an original Walt Disney signed cel of Charles Laughton, Freddie Bartholomew and Spencer Tracy from Mother Goose Goes Hollywood (1938).

Not just limited to artwork, the collection includes a Clarabelle Cow marionette signed by Bob Baker, a Robert Olszewski limited edition Tinker Bell gold jewelry box and glass bell jar display, several Robert Guenther Disney glass prototypes, and a 16" collectors edition Nautilus model from the TokyoSea grand opening on September 4, 2001. There is something for every animation art collector!
