This original hand-painted backgroundl is from the Nickelodeon TV show SpongeBob Squarepants. The story takes place under the deep blue sea in Bikini Bottom, where SpongeBob resides. SpongeBob, who is a yellow, porous sponge, is your typical happy-go-lucky character, as he is always cheerful and enjoys making people laugh. Patrick Star, SpongeBob's neighbor who is a starfish, is your average children's show idiot, as he boasts knowing nothing and is often getting himself into ridiculous situations. Between the homes of these two lies the home of the miserable Squidward, a squid, who is known for being grouchy and playing tricks on SpongeBob and Patrick. Both SpongeBob and Squidward work at the Krusty Krab, a fast food business run by the greedy money-loving Mr. Krabs, a crab, the arch rival of the evil, possibly misunderstood, Plankton. Another neighbor, Sandy Cheeks, an athletic squirrel who normally wears an astronaut's space suit, was introduced in "Tea at the Treedome." She spends most of her time inventing and experimenting.
This scene shows a carnival along a pier, kind of a like Bikini Bottom's version of Coney Island.

Each one-of-a-kind set-up represents a slight change in position of the characters. When individually photographed and projected in rapid succession, the images appear to move.
To create production cels, the original animator's drawing is transferred onto an acetate cel (by hand-inking and/or photo copying). This is an original hand painted background. The background is ready to be matted and framed. It is a colored background with a cel and has the animator's notations at the bottom of the background. Buyer's Premium: A buyer's premium will be in effect for all auction sales and shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.
