In many cases this collection rivals and exceeds the Mu¤oz and the Norweb collections. The number of Republican coins 'numbers half again as many as the total of the Mu¤oz and Norweb collections combined.' The majority of the most interesting of Senor Gerber's coins came from Dr. Pradeau's collection through Superior's sales in 1970 and 1971. This sale features a choice collection of Mexican Spanish colonial coins (627 Lots) including silver coinage of Charles and Joanna; Phillip II; Phillip III; Phillip IV, Charles II; gold and silver coinage of: Phillip V; Ferdinand VI; Charles III; Charles IV; and Ferdinand VII.
