Many Catholic churches were closed over time and sold to private individuals. These spindles came from the alter railing of the Alverno St. Francis Catholic church located above the Black River in Benton Township, Cheboygan, Michigan.
-14 in the collection.

CONDITION very good.
-original finish, well alligatored.
-can use the 0000 steel wool with old fashioned formula of linseed oil, vinegar and turpentine to reamalgate the finish.
-tabs are present on most of the spindles / columns.
-perfect for many projects, including candle sticks, lamps, wood-working.
